This month’s First Friday Coffee will be held at the NKC Farmer’s Market! Stop by for some fresh baked treats (made by the vendors, yum, yum), coffee, networking, and great weather (we hope!). Thank you to First Watch of NKC for providing the coffee.

This Friday, there will be a booth where you can sign up to be part of Missouri’s 10,000 Garden Challenge! The 10,000 Garden Challenge is a Missouri Department of Agriculture program encouraging Missourians to grow fresh produce, native plants and ornamental flowers in their backyards and communities. For more information on the program go to www.AgriMissouri.com, and please stop by on Friday morning!

Second Saturdays in Northtown is a FREE event held at 1900 Fayette Street, just south of Armour Road, in the City's historic downtown. This features live jazz music, an art market, and a classic car display. Area organizations will support the event by having food and drink for sale in and around the festival area. Second Saturdays will continue each month through September of 2011.

Temporary Sign Permits from the City
Is your business planning a sale, special event, or construction project? If you are planning on putting up a sign to advertise your special event, here is some information on how you can obtain the necessary temporary sign permit: Permits for temporary signs for sales or special occasions will be authorized for a maximum of 30 days (limit 3 permits per calendar year). One sign per business will be allowed at a time. Permits for temporary signs for construction projects or new building may be authorized for a six-month period, and may be renewed for successive six-month periods. The fee for a temporary sign permit is $10. For more information and to obtain an application please contact City of NKC Code Compliance Division 816-274-6006.
