The Business Council strives to meet its goals through the work of its six active committees - Beautification, Government Affairs, Industrial, Membership, Retail / Promotions and Publications which meet regularly to address current and future concerns in the community. The Council also monitors city and county government actions for issues that may impact member businesses.
By publishing the informative newsletter, "Going North," hosting monthly get-togethers and luncheon meetings, issuing periodic "Business Alert" notices and offering an All-City Business Directory on our website, and publishing an annual "Membership Directory & Buyer's Guide," the Council keeps its members informed of issues important to local business.
The Business Council actively supports such local events as the Snake Saturday, Spring and Fall Beautification Days, Friday in the Park Concerts and area non-profit charities.
The Council achieves its civic duties by offering scholarships to graduating seniors from NKC High School, managing the NKC Friday Farmers Market and sponsoring special citywide promotions such as "Winter Wonderland in North Kansas City".
